Nick Muir

At Elysia, Nick leads the implementation and usage of the Embedded Algorithms, utilizing State Of Energy (SOE) based balancing and Model-based State Of Power (SOP) estimation for optimal performance in prestigious races such as Le Mans 24 hours and the Rolex Daytona 24 hours. Nick firmly believes that the lessons and learnings of motorsport can unlock higher performance and increased lifetime for e-mobility and automotive industries, by considering more carefully the battery software used on their embedded systems.

Before joining Elysia, Nick graduated from Oxford Brookes University with a Master’s Degree in Automotive Engineering, with a speciality in Electric Vehicles. He led the Oxford Brookes Formula Student Racing team, in a technical lead capacity, to win the international engineering design event in 2022 with their electric race car.
