Michael Loadman

Michael is a UK and European patent attorney at Swindell & Pearson. He advises on patents across the chemical, energy, and materials fields. He has a particular interest in battery technology. Prior to joining Swindell & Pearson, he graduated with a master’s degree in chemistry from Durham University and worked in R&D at a multinational energy company, researching catalysis, gas-to-liquid technology, and nanomaterials. Michael handles international patent portfolios for start-ups, SMEs, and multinationals. He has also helped many companies to secure UK patents, which can be used to obtain significant tax relief through the Patent Box.
