Michael is an experienced, emotionally intelligent, and strategic Partner. He provides pragmatic, commercial, and results-driven advice to a wide range of local and national clients across the full spectrum of human resources and employment law. 

At all times, Michael works in close partnership with HR and senior management teams. He is a trusted adviser and a reliable problem-solver, known for getting the job done. His expertise spans complex and sensitive senior or group exits, redundancies and restructures, challenging absence and performance issues, whistleblowing, the gig economy, and HR-related data protection — including extensive experience with data subject access requests. 

Michael also plays an active role in the National Employment Team’s IR35, Data Protection, and Financial Services sub-groups. 

He has a particular interest in defending Employment Tribunal claims and managing client relationships across a diverse employer base. Notably, Michael has supported a leading client in the tyre and vehicle service industry for over 15 years — a reflection of his deep-rooted passion for the automotive sector and its people. His long-standing commitment to this industry underscores his ability to align legal strategy with commercial realities in a fast-evolving market.
