Dr. Faezeh Zarinkhat

Dr. Faezeh Zarrinkhat is a Scientist at TeraView Ltd., Cambridge, UK, the pioneer and global leader in terahertz technology. Her work focuses on developing innovative terahertz sensing solutions for multilayer structures in industrial applications, with a particular emphasis on enhancing quality control and process optimization in battery electrode manufacturing. By leveraging TeraView’s cutting-edge technology, she helps improve the detection of defects and inconsistencies in battery electrode coatings by monitoring thickness, density, loading, and conductivity simultaneously.

She earned her PhD in Bio-sensing from Barcelona Tech – UPC, Spain (2022), where she conducted research on bacterial dielectric spectroscopy. During her doctoral studies, she was a visiting researcher at Aalto University, Finland (2020), working on corneal terahertz imaging, and at Cambridge University, UK (2022), focusing on numerical image-based modeling of biological tissues.

Dr. Zarrinkhat holds a BSc (2012) and MSc (2016) in Telecommunication Engineering from SUTech and KNTU, Iran, respectively. In addition to her research, she serves as a peer reviewer for the IEEE Transactions on Terahertz Science and Technology
